The objective of the Family Counselling Centres is to provide preventive and rehabilitative services to women and families who are victims of atrocities and family mal-adjustments through crisis intervention and systematic counselling.
Since 2000, a Family Counselling Centre (FCC) is running by Fellowship with support from Central Social Welfare Board (CSWB), New Delhi. Besides dealing with cases of marital disputes, the FCC also educates people on various laws to combat violence against women and also registered and counseled the case of men. The centre closely works with District Legal Aid Service Authority. From January 2019 the FCC is functioning at District Police Office premises (Bhadrak) as Crisis Centre with direct involvement of IUCAW (Investigating Units on Crime Against Women) of Odisha Police. Till date more than 2009 cases are registered, 954 cases settled amicably, 177 cases referred to court, 105 cases to police and 13 cases to One Stop Centre for legal assiatnce. During the reporting year 130 cases registered in our FCC out of which 76 cases have been resolved at our end, 05 to the One Stop Centre to give them legal assistance.
